Mathew Bahrenburg

Matthew Bahrenburg serves as General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for CFD Companies.

Matthew obtained his undergraduate degree from Tabor College in 1992 and his Juris Doctorate from the University of North Dakota Law School in 1995. Matthew first became licensed to practice law in 1995 in the state of North Dakota.

Prior to joining CFD in 2007, Matthew worked as the enforcement attorney for the North Dakota Securities Department from 1996 thru 2007. In that role, Matthew conducted multiple investigations and took various enforcement actions against securities law violators, regarding issues of both registered and non-registered parties engaging in securities law violations.

Matthew began his role at CFD in 2007 as the Compliance Director, becoming the firm’s chief compliance officer in 2012. In his role as CCO, Matthew manages regulatory inquiries, dealing with customer disputes and other issues, providing general legal advice to the firm, and helping advisers work through legal and compliance issues as they arise.

Matthew and his wife Rhonda have two daughters, one of whom (Hannah) is now a member of the CFD family also working in compliance.

Matthew works out of Creative Financial Centre in Kokomo, IN.
