Brent Owens 

Brent Owens is President of CFD Companies, including serving as President of cfd Investments, Inc. (Broker/Dealer) and Creative Financial Designs, Inc. (RIA).

Brent grew up in the Financial Services industry, working alongside his father, founder of CFD Companies, Mick Owens. After graduating from Indiana Wesleyan University with a bachelor’s in business management, Brent officially started his tenure with CFD in the Planning Department in 1992. Brent was handed the reins as President in 1998.

Brent is an avid baseball fan and was involved with Kokomo’s local Semi-Pro Baseball team, the CFD Saints, from 1989 – 2002. In addition, he played four years of college baseball, beginning with Anderson University from 1989 to 1990, and ending with Indiana Wesleyan University from 1991 to 1992. Brent continued his involvement in baseball, serving as the varsity baseball coach at Taylor High School from 2011 to 2018, and varsity assistant baseball coach at Western High School from 2019 to 2023. In 2023, Brent retired from baseball to focus solely on the CFD Companies and his growing number of grandchildren.

Brent has obtained his series 7, 24, 27, 63 and 65 licenses, along with his life health insurance license in the state of Indiana. Brent earned his CFCA Designation (Christian Financial Consultant and Advisor) through the NACFC and has passed the first two sections of the CFP® certification process.

Brent’s biggest priorities are his faith and family, which extends to the entire CFD family of staff and advisers. Having given his life to Christ at the age of 9, Brent attends Abundant Life Church, with his wife, Brandi, and engages in teaching stewardship and church groups as ministry, along with mission trips as he is called. Brent and wife Brandi have six children and three grandchildren.

Brent has been a member of the NACFC since 2001. Since 2019, Brent has served on the board of NACFC and as acting Vice President.

Brent is based out of Creative Financial Centre in Kokomo, Indiana.
