Advancing with Purpose: Highlights from 2026 Virtual Spring Conference
5/1/2026

Recently, the CFD Companies hosted its annual Spring Financial Adviser Conference—a virtual gathering designed to bring advisers, home office team members, and industry peers together for shared learning and practical collaboration. The event created space for meaningful conversation around what it takes to lead an advisory practice with clarity, purpose, and the right support.
A highlight of the conference was a succession-focused testimony from adviser Caleb Clark. Caleb walked attendees through the moments and mentors that helped shape his career, and he shared how those experiences continue to shape the way he is building his practice today: thoughtfully, intentionally, and with the future in mind.
The agenda also featured panel discussions that offered grounded takeaways advisers can apply right away, including how advisers are growing with the support of CFD's Virtual Assistant Program, how to thoughtfully adopt new technology, and what “legacy” can look like in an advisory practice at CFD Companies, and how to build a unique legacy over time.
In addition to insightful webinars and the quarterly CFD Networkshop program, CFD hosts two large-scale conferences each year, and both advisers and home office staff view them as essential touchpoints in the life of the firm. These gatherings are more than updates and presentations—they are a reflection of the partnerships that define the CFD Family: independence supported by real people, accessible guidance, and a culture built to help advisers focus on enduring growth.
For the 2026 Spring Virtual Conference, the CFD Companies put the next generation of leadership in the emcee spot as Bailey Owens and Maria Barnes introduce speakers and panelists throughout the day.
